Sri Lanka Whale Watching Travel Package

Day 1: Arrival - Colombo                                                                 
On arrival, meet & greet by our local representative.Thereafter, you will be escorted to the hotel, where you will check-in and dinner.Overnight at Colombo.

Day 2: Colomno - Galle
After breakfast commence city tour Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens.Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha, the Independence Square. Thereafter proceed to visiting the Kalutara Bodiya.Continute journey to Galle - Sri Lanka’s most historically interesting town is Galle. It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbour. Stroll around the lighthouse and harbour or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers and purchase some the finest souvenirs.Visit Dutch Fort (the most popular attraction of the town). Some scholars believe it to be the “Tarshish” of the Old Testament, to which King Solomon sent his merchant vessels, and to which Jonah fled from the Lord. After dinner check in hotel. Overnight at Galle.

Day 3: Galle – Yala National Park
After breakfast proceed to take the boat from the fishery harbour out to sea. Blue Whales in concentrations not seen elsewhere in the world would be the highlight. A concentration of blue whales of this nature is something which whale watchers can only dream about. During the migration, Blue whales are seen relatively close to shore as the continental shelf is narrow to the South of Dondra. After seeing the blue whales, your naturalist will take you further out to sea look for sperm whales. Even sperm whales sometimes come within a few kilometers of shore. Afternoon, transfer to Yala National Park. On arrival proceed for dinner. Overnight at Yala.

Day 4: Yala National Park – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast , proceed to Jeep Safari for *Yala National Park- the Ruhunu National Park.There are good numbers of Asian Elephants, Crocodile, Wild Boar, Water Buffalo and Grey langurs amongst other large animals. Yala is famous for its big herds and large number of Elephants, Leopards, Spotted Deer, Sambhur, Crocodiles, Mongoose, Wild Boar, Wild Buffalo, and many other animals. More than 130 bird species are recorded which includes the resident and winter visitors. After lunch, proceed to *Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is et against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.The town's attractions include the golf course, trout streams, Victoria Park, and boating or fishing on Lake Gregory. After dinner check in hotel.  Overnight at Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya - Kandy - Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha is the holiest shrine in the Sri Lanka Buddhist world.This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day. Afternoon, sightseeing of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square. Kandy - the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city.Kandy is an example of the Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Kandy is synonymous with arts and crafts of Sri Lanka than anywhere else in the country. After lunch, proceed to Colombo, En route visit a Spice Garden in Mawanella to see the different spices.Sri Lanka is famous for its spices and spices gardens. These spice gardens offers tourists memorable visits to various spice plantations in Sri Lanka. Then, visit to Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew nut shop, ready made garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy Notitake. Set or other ceramic items, visit the Odel Shop. After dinner check in hotel. Overnight at Colombo.

Day 6: Colombo – Departure
After breakfast, free until transfer to airport for your flight home.
