A cloudburst on Friday at Leh has brought great destruction over a large area.
The Leh - Manali road is closed now due to mud, but is expected to be opened in a couple of days.
The national news T.V. Channel Doordarshan office has been damaged severely.
Unconfirmed reports said the airport could be operational by Saturday, at least for military planes or choppers. Air ticket from Leh might get costly due to this natural disaster.
Telephone service has been affected also.
