It is the major relief that the Indian Railways has start accepting credit cards issued by banks with laminated photograph as proof for the passenger on Aug 6, this is good for those passengers who do not carry document and short going trips.
This done to see the increasing popularity of e-tickets among passengers, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation limited recorded the highest sale of e-ticket in a single day in railway history.
Student i-card is also accepted as identity proof by Indian Railways which is recognised by school or college with photograph, bank credit card is now added in the six proofs of identity:-
1.Voter Identity Card
2.Passport
3.Pan Card
4.Photo Identity Card issued by Central/ state Government
5.Driving License
6.Student Identity Card
