Flights disrupted due to heavy rainfall at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, runway closed for more than 30 minutes because of poor visibility and wet surface.
There was continuous rain from early morning brought Delhi's road traffic to its knees and problem arise for the Delhi's people. Due to heavy rain three flights had diverted to nearby cities since they were running low on fuel, while another 25 delayed. The new runway proving to be too slippery for flight landings, and have problems including erratic power and water supply plague the facility. The situation was brought under control only by late evening.
