Airlines started informing passengers about the new deadline for check-in counters for all flight departing from Mumbai, New Delhi,Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore will close 40 minutes before. The pilots have been instructed to pre-departure clearances from Air Traffic Control 15 minutes prior to departure. The rules were first implemented in Mumbai and it received a good response as the number of delayed flights reduced and now rules would be implemented in Delhi. The new timings would be effective from August 26 and applicable on all flights of Air India.
